The media value is based on appearances in the media by the player from the top 5 European leagues and teams participating in the Champions League, during a whole season.

For example, Messi alone appeared in news almost 29 times more than half of the present players in the league.

According to the study, FC Barcelona is first on the top of most publicized clubs, with 103 points, followed by Real Madrid (79.5 p) and Chelsea (63p).
